Mawita'jig, they gather together, depicts a caribou travelling through the woods with a family of 6 within its body.

Hailey is a mixed Mi’kmaq artist living in Cape Breton. She create paintings that depict what life is like for her as a non-visible minority/mixed Indigenous person reconnecting with her culture. Her work also tells the stories of creation, prayer, life and rebirth. "No matter the painting I create, I always try to put imagery of my ancestors life within to make sure they aren’t forgotten."
