MARY LARADE
Oak trees and other indigenous plants provide shelter and food, for insect and wildlife species. Indigenous species are often forced to compete for resources with invasive species that have been introduced to their environment. By taking my inspiration from an oak tree in my own neighbourhood, one that is surrounded and threatened by invasive plants, I aim to bring attention to this widespread issue in suburban CBRM.
